General Council of United Church of Canada
About General Council (Denominational Council)General Conference (Denominational Council) is an administrative and service-delivery body of The National United Church of Canada. It provide staff, finances, advice, advocacy and programming resources to 16 regions, 3000+ congregations, thousands of ministry personnel and numerous service ministries across Canada.
General Council is the church's highest legislative court. Ordained, commissioned, and lay commissioners are elected by the Conferences and meet every three years to set church policy. An Executive and Sub-Executive govern between meetings of the council.
The Moderator is the elected (at General Council), presiding officer of the meetings of the General Council, its executive and its sub-executive.

The General Council will meet with a regular meeting will be TBA in 2028.

Biographical Statement
I was born in Lusaka, Zambia and grew up in small Canadian towns and cities. I studied history at McGill University and earned my Master of Divinity at Emmanuel College before my ordination in 1999. My 25 years of active ministry began with the people of Claresholm-Stavely Pastoral Charge in rural southern Alberta.
